About the event

Course Overview

Personal protective equipment is an essential IPC control, but its effectiveness depends on selecting the right PPE for the task and using it correctly.

This webinar explores the appropriate use of gloves, masks, protective eyewear and clinical attire in dental practice. Participants will consider when gloves are required, when clean hands are more appropriate and how incorrect fit or use can reduce protection.

The session will also examine the risks associated with aerosols and splatter, and practical strategies that can help reduce exposure during dental procedures, including high-volume evacuation, pre-procedural mouth rinses and appropriate management of dental unit waterlines and suction systems.
