With the economy not doing so well and talk of recession prevalent in all the papers, some dental practices are starting to rethink their expansion and major purchase plans. They have started looking at their plans for practice renovations, a new fit-out or high tech equipment that they had wanted for the practice and have started to think “should I put this off till later?” There is no doubt that putting off spending money is the cautious thing to do, but, will cutting back mean that you miss out on opportunities for growth?
A practice owner facing this decision would obviously have to weigh up the potential benefits and opportunities that the investment would bring to the practice against the cost and risks involved...

We are at that time of year when the dental schools give their latest batch of final year students their degrees and the graduates go out into the world looking for jobs as dentists. Some practices will be eager to employ these graduates while others will be holding back waiting for an experienced dentist to employ.
Graduate dentists bring with them different benefits and concerns to a dental practice and as such their induction and ongoing work needs to be treated differently to an experienced dentist entering a practice...

Dr Michael Sernik speaks at IACA 2008 in Orlando

Due to the continuing success of our PrimeSpeak 3-day Seminar in Australia and with LVI in the US, Dr Michael Sernik was invited to speak at the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA) conference in Orlando, Florida in early August.
Speaking to a crowded room of US dentists at the top of their game, Dr Sernik's presentation was deemed one of the highlights of the whole conference.
